You see me when the world just passes by

You hear past the words to my heart’s cry

You pull me out of the pit and help me stand again

You refuse to let go of my hand

 

There are days when giving up seems the only way

You just smile when I try to push you away

Even though it hurts you know it is not what I mean

And you stay by my side and tell me to breathe

 

Your strength gives me hope that I will someday be healed

And the fact that you see me helps me to stay real

You walking beside me through all of the stuff

Helps me to feel like I am enough

 

God brought you to me as part of His plan

And I’m sure I will never truly understand

But in case all the words are never enough

Please know I’m forever blessed to be us
