God Is On The Move…

My family and I are on a “God watch.”  You know when life gets so crazy that all you can do is hold on or cry?  That is where I have found myself lately.  But now…I am filled with expectation I cannot describe.

Remember the movie Narnia?  (Yes, I know there are books, but I am using the movie as a visual…focus.)  Scene begins… Narnia has been frozen for many MANY years.  Everything is covered in snow and ice.  This is the reality of every living thing in Narnia.  They have adapted to their new reality.  Then suddenly signs of spring begin to emerge; grass sticking through the snow, random flowers begin to unfold, leaves are budding on the trees, water begins to melt.  All the creatures stop, almost afraid to believe what they see…”Aslan is on the move.”  You can see the anticipation rise with each new sign of spring.  Although they have NO idea what any of this means, they KNOW that EVERYTHING is about to change.   (End scene)

THAT is where we are…”God is on the move.”  I have NO idea what that means, but I KNOW that EVERYTHING is about to change.

You don’t have to look far to see signs of chaos.  The “frozen tundra” surrounds the world in which we live.  Presidential debates, economy crisis, doom and gloom reports everywhere we turn.  This is the present reality we live in and most have adapted to their new reality.

But in my heart…signs of spring…I stop and can hardly breathe.  Do I dare believe? ”God is on the move.”

We are slowing down to watch for God to show up in amazing ways.  I don’t want to miss this!!  We want to teach our kids the faithfulness of God in our everyday life.  We can’t do this on our own.  THAT is the beginning of letting go…and when we let go…GOD!  God wants to prove Himself to us.  He wants to bless us and encourage us.  He did not bring us this far to leave us here.

Where are you?  Does your world feel like never-ending winter?  Has your present reality hidden all signs of life?  Look around…God wants to show you something new…

Signs of spring…”God is on the move…”
