Yours

If I could rise above and see the end, I could make it one more day

Facing my current reality makes it hard to stay

Trapped in a swirl of emptiness, unsure of what is real

Praying past the numbness, wanting desperately to feel

Afraid my life has become a slave to this awful place

If only for a moment, Lord, I could look upon Your face

How long must I stay here and fight this worthless fight?

There is no point anymore I’ve forgotten all but night

The darkness and confusion is all that I can see

Fading fast the remnants of what used to be me

Feeling forgotten and alone I cry out yet again

I refuse to give up and I will not give in

If You choose to leave me here, then this is where I’ll stay

I do not understand it and I hate it everyday

But even through the hatred for this place that’s close to hell

I believe You have a plan and a story left to tell

Whatever Your reason, I trust You with my life

And if You choose, Lord, to take it…I give it without fight
