The Sound of Heaven
The Sound of Heaven
Sunday morning the Lord spoke to my heart. He said, “Be still and watch.” He then said to me, “My servant comes to release My people. Watch, my servant is coming. He is the one I have chosen for what I am about to do.”
I knew who the Lord was referring to. I have been praying for this man of God “for such a time as this.” I saw him speaking to his dad, our pastor. The Lord said, “See, my servant knows my heart. Watch, my servant comes.”
As this man began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on the entire congregation. Some recognized what was happening and yielded to the awesomeness of what God was doing. Others were just silent, unaware. How sad for these people. After all this time, they do not recognize the very presence of the God they say they serve.
God’s servant spoke. He said that the Lord was releasing the sound of heaven among us. He gave a word from the Lord that the sound of Heaven will release God’s awesome power. This was just the beginning of what God wants to do among us.
The realness of God filled the room. I stood in awe, unable to speak. Then my heart began to cry for the lost. God wants to release His Spirit for ALL people. Many there among us were unaware. We talk of reaching the lost and they live among us every day.
Father, forgive me for being so unaware.
The Lord is breaking my heart not just for those who don’t know Him at all, but even more for those who don’t REALLY know Him. Those who go through the motions of doing what is right; those who have grown up in our churches and serve a stranger. God wants to be our Friend.
Forgive us for failing Your chosen ones. We have made You into a routine and a list of rules. Oh Lord, pour out Your Spirit upon Your children. Reveal Yourself. Be REAL among us. Forgive me for trying to reduce You to human understanding.
It is only with the heart, we truly see. It is only through His Spirit, we truly live.
